IBA sponsor CEDA series, "Empowering First Nations Peoples"

Posted 25 June 2021

IBA are proud to sponsor a 3-part series on "Empowering First Nations Peoples" with the Committee for Economic Development of Australia (CEDA). As a CEDA member, IBA support the initiatives of informed debate on relevant issues that matter for the greater good.

In this first session, CEDA will bring together a panel to discuss attracting and supporting Indigenous employees. As we look to build strong employment opportunities for all Australians following the COVID hit to our economy, improving employment outcomes for Indigenous Australians must be a priority.

What are the enablers and barriers to participation in employment for Indigenous Australians? How can employers attract and support Indigenous workers?

Speakers include:

  • Shelley Cable GAICD CPA - CEO, Generation One, Mindaroo Foundation
  • Troy Cook - Director & General Manager, Community Engagement, Wirrpanda Foundation
  • Rikki Cooper - Talent Acquisition Business Partner and Indigenous Engagement Specialist,  BGIS
  • Adam Davids - Director, Learning and Innovation, CareerTrackers.
