IBA accepts challenge to further Indigenous Australians’ business aspirations

Among the celebrations for NAIDOC last week, Indigenous Business Australia (IBA) held its annual breakfast bringing together leaders within the Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander community.

Key speaker Charles Prouse, CEO of Supply Nation, issued a challenge to IBA to build upon the positive outcomes achieved by IBA to date, and do more to further realise Indigenous Australians’ aspirations for running their own business.

IBA’s confirmation of descent process

Applicants applying for IBA’s products and services can now confirm their cultural descent by just completing, signing and having correctly witnessed the statutory declaration contained in the IBA Confirmation of Aboriginality or Torres Strait Islander Descent form.

Cummeragunga Farm returned to traditional owners

Indigenous Business Australia (IBA) has sold Cummeragunga Farm unencumbered to the Yorta Yorta Nation Aboriginal Corporation (YYNAC) with settlement being finalised in May 2014.

IBA celebrates National Reconciliation Week 2014

National Reconciliation Week (NRW) is celebrated across Australia each year between 27 May and 3 June. During this year's National Reconciliation Week, IBA is pleased to launch its new Reconciliation Action Plan which provides a cohesive organisational guide and framework to ensure reconciliation remains at the heart of everything we do.
