HOW TO COMPLETE A statutory declaration

What is a statutory declaration?

A statutory declaration is a written statement that a person (the declarant) signs and declares to be true and correct in the presence of an authorised witness, such as a pharmacist, police officer, court registrar, bank manager, doctor or dentist.

Why does IBA need a statutory declaration from me?

IBA exists to assist Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to achieve economic independence and self-sufficiency through products and services such as home loans, business support and investment opportunities. In order to ensure that our products, services and funds are going to the right people we need to ensure the recipient is of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent.
