To assist our customers through this challenging time we are excited to bring you this free online workshop focused on Understanding Credit to get you ready for home ownership.

There are 8 sessions available to choose from, limited to 30 participants per session.

Please note that these workshops are open to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people only.

With the added burden of dealing with the uncertainty created by COVID-19, many customers may resort to making financial decisions that could impact their future. Our workshops are designed to provide you with information and tools which will empower you to navigate your way through money challenges and help you make financial decisions to take back control of your money.

What we’ll cover

In this 1 hour workshop we will discuss:

  • Different types of credit/loans - secured and unsecured debts
  • Credit reports – what is a credit report and how is it used by creditors?
  • Credit Score – how your credit score can influence your ability to secure credit and the interest rate offered by creditors
  • What you need to know to make informed decisions
  • Resources tools – your options if you need assistance and what tools are available

This workshop is designed for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people interested in applying for their first home loan or are interested in learning how to be smarter with money.
